PyMS v1.2.1PyMS is a StarCraft modding suite writting using Python 2.5, meaning it will work for Mac users and Windows users alike (actually it will run on most OS's if it matters). PyMS contains 13 programs to edit various StarCraft files, each having a comprehensive command line interface and GUI. More editors are planned like a Special Palette editor, but the current programs are a higher priority at the moment.Currently the documentation is lacking, only having help on the command line interfaces of each program, and some more information on a few programs. The programs are all straight forward and designed after other modding programs, so they should be easy to figure out and get used to. Also note that all testing is done on Windows XP with Python 2.5, so its possible but unlikely that things wont work outside of those conditions. If you have problems just post on the PyMS forums. PyGRP is a fully featured GRP editor containing all the essentail and extra features of a GRP editor, and new unseen features which will make your life easier! These features include:
PyPAL is a basic palette editor for StarCraft PAL/WEP, RIFF PAL, JASC PAL, BMP, and can load from PCX files. Eventually it will be revamped to include a special palette editor, bug me if you want it.
PyLO combines a text based LO? editor and graphical offest previewer to create an easy working environment. The text editor (like all the other PyMS programs with a text editor) has:
PyTBL is based heavily on TBLEdit, and has mostly the same functionality and an updated colors list. One of the new features is the ability to export to and import from txt files.
PyTRG is a very modder friendly trigger editor, from the basic GOT compatable TRG files, to extensive support for custom conditions and actions, it is just full of features. Some of the features are:
PyDAT is practically a mirror of DatEdit (thus all DatEdit tutorials work for PyDAT), with some new and a couple missing features. Some features to mention are the input restraints (no more people putting sight ranges greater then 11!), and easy support for importing/exporting entries to txt files.
PyGOT is a remake of the official blizzard GOT editor GameTemplate.exe, found in the German starcraft mpq's, with the addition of importing/exporting to txt files.
PyAI is an AI script editor with many new features and improved features over SCAIEdit. Some of these features are:
PyICE is a fully featured IScript editor compatable with IceCC code. It has a build in script editor with the usual syntax highlighting, style selector dialog, auto-indentation, tab-completion and informative tooltips, updated description lists, and support for backwards compatable opcodes (though none are implemented because I have no opcode lists from previous IceCC versions). It also has great graphical and sound inserters/previewers to make your life easier!
PyFNT is a StarCraft FNT exporter and importer. As far as I know its the only released FNT editor. Currently PyFNT only exports to and imports from bmp files (no editing in program), but there is a chance that will change for a later version.
PyTILE is a StarCraft tile editor with a core layout heavily based on HawtTiles, with emphasis on easier editing.
PyPCX is a StarCraft PCX editor used to convert to and from BMP's as well as importing/exporting palettes.
